Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring above a popular southern California coastline suddenly commenced twirling out of control, finally losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Footage uploaded on the internet capture the chopper beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the accident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
